A teach-in on climate and ecological breakdown
During an online bachelor course on Ecological Data Analysis, I decided to carry out a teach-in: I interrupted the normal flow of the lecture to talk about climate and ecological breakdown. A teach-in is a lecture or discussion held to address a perceived injustice in society, outside the regular curriculum. With it, my intention was to create something that was academic but still out of the ordinary, out of place, and highlight that we are not living in “normal” times: the breakdown of our life support systems is a global catastrophe and we all have a role to play in preventing it from getting dramatically worse.
